I need to aquire a state tax ID number to purchase flowers wholesale. I am not a business. What do I do?
I do wedding work from my home as a hobby only and I need to be able to purchase fresh flowers from wholesalers. I need a state tax ID number to purchase from wholesalers.
I need to aquire a state tax ID number to purchase flowers wholesale. I am not a business. What do I do?
Just go and apply for a tax id number that simple. Come up with a name for your hobby company its that simple. You can even file taxes at the end of the year in conjunction with your normal taxes. A company can show a loss for the first 5 years so this can come in handy such as buying that new computer or what ever that you might use in your business, it can be used as a write off on your taxes so it is pretty much free. there are many ways to get tax cuts with having your own tax id number. :%26lt;)
Reply:I would contact a friend or associate with a buisness license and buy it through them. Offer an incentive.
Reply:Call the IRS and see what they say...cant hurt! I just got off the phone with them and got my tax ID number in a matter of 10 mins.

How long does it take for a sunflower to start budding for a flower and when should it happen?
we stated them in little flower pots may 24th and planted then in the ground june 17th. we water then every other day unless it rains.
How long does it take for a sunflower to start budding for a flower and when should it happen?
It depends on the variety of sunflower you planted and the amount of sunshine. The package should tell you how long it takes for the plant to flower/mature. Some bloom earlier than others.
Patience . . . it will bloom!
Reply:I Live in Australia and have grown Sunflowers each summer. The flower head or heads typcially form within the first few weeks of growth, and continue to enlarge up until the open up. You indicate they have been in the ground now for nearly 3 weeks so you should be able to see the heads by now right at the very top of the plant, or if they are a multiple flowering variety you should see them starting to develop inbetween the stem and the leaf of the plant
Reply:You did not say what part of the country you are in. If you are in the northern states, say within 300 miles or so from the Canandian border, they should be budding soon, within the next few weeks. I put some out from seed direct and they are blooming right now but they are also in good soil. I take it your soil is good so if you are about the same distance from Canada, yours should be budding soon. They will normally get about 4 feet high before starting to bud but it depends a lot on the weather and soil conditions too. Also depends on the type of sunflower you planted. Good luck. Just be patient and you should have some blooming soon.
Reply:I planted mine in very sunny areas in my yard.I dont think it takes very long at all and I just let the rain water mine and the grew about 7 feet tall.

Where can I get Plumeria (the tropical flower) on the internet or in the Chicago, IL area?
I want to get plumeria for a certain special girl for Valentine's Day because it is her favorite flower. She lives out of state, but I can't seem to find any way to buy them on the internet and have them delivered in anywhere but Hawaii. I could buy them in the Chicago area too instead, when she comes to visit. Any ideas?
Where can I get Plumeria (the tropical flower) on the internet or in the Chicago, IL area?
MOST FTD FLORESTS CAN OBTAIN ANY FLOWER AVAILABLE. MOST PLUMERIA DOES COME FROM HAWAII. WHILE THERE, I SHIPPED A "LEI" TO MY MOM FOR HER BIRTHDAY, AND WHEN IT ARRIVED IN TEXAS, SHE OPENED THE PACKAGE AND WAS DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THE LEI APPEARED DRIED OUT, AND WAS JUST "BEADS" ON A STRING. AFTER READING THE INSTRUCTIONS, TELLING HER TO PLACE IT IN A LARGE BOWL WITH A CUP OF WATER COVERING THE LEI, AND TO PUT IT IN THE ICE BOX OVER NIGHT. THE NEXT MORNING, IT HAD HYDRATED, AND IT FILLED THE BOWL WITH IT'S FULLY EXPANDED LEAVES/FLOWERS. THE AROMA FILLED THE ROOM WHEN MY MOM OPENED THE ICE BOX. SHE STILL TALKS ABOUT HOW SUPPRISED SHE WAS WHEN SHE OPENED THE DOOR TO THE ICE BOX. IT WAS WORTH THE PRICE. ANYWAY, CHECK WITH ONE OF YOUR LARGER FLORIST SHOPS, THEY CAN GET IT FOR YOU
Reply:Try flowers@paradiseflowers.com. (808) 878-2591. Good luck.

Buttercups flower, suggest how the way that this flower may be pollinated. and clearly state your reasoning.?
any idea what this means?
Buttercups flower, suggest how the way that this flower may be pollinated. and clearly state your reasoning.?
Buttercups have bright yellow petals. This suggests that the flowers are insect pollinated because the brightness of the petals attracts the insects.
Wind-pollinated plants have very small or nonexistent petals.
Reply:Adding to the insect hypothosys, the insect that does pollinate this flower is probably a larger insect that lands on the flower to feed due to the large open nature of the flower. There is enough room and support for an insect such as a bee or butterfly to land comfortably and find the nectar easily.
Unlike a red tubular flower that would best be adapted to hummingbirds or hovering moths.

How do I start planting flowers in Washington state?
I want to plant perenials this year but dont know where to start. I'm new at growing flowers outside and want easy to maintain, beautiful, hearty flowers that can withstand the north-west region( pictures and websites would be a plus).
How do I start planting flowers in Washington state?
Washington has the most beautful gardens in the country IMO because you never get too cold, and there is lots and lots of rain. There are a lot of rhododendrons and I found that kind of boring. When I moved back to Maine I decided I would never plant one because I was so sick of them, but 20 years later I am starting to change my mind. Anyway, you can grow a HUGE variety of gorgeous things from roses to hostas and lots more. You can go woodland or formal. The sky's the limit!
One thing I noticed in Washington is that many people don't bother with turf grass. It doesn't like the dampness and it harbors icky slugs. Better to just let the moss come in. Moss is soft, inviting and never needs mowing.
Reply:This is one of my favorite things to do! Since you live in an area that gets a lot of rain(I'm assuming)you will be able to grow Rhodedendrons which are fairly low maintenance and beautiful at the same time. If you go to your local nursery and speak to someone they will be able to give you some ideas on what would suit your needs. Be sure to have info ready as to whether its shady, sunny, sheltered, etc. Also, don't be afraid to speak to more than one person. Sometimes they will hire someone off the street to care for the plants, but if it is a reputable nursery, you shouldn't have too much trouble with this.

What is the legal maximum age for a flower girl in a wedding in the United States?
A friend's six year old daughter will be serving as a flower girl at her sister's wedding tomorrow. Is this legal? Someone said that she was too old and I am afraid that the wedding will be raided by the State Police. That's the last thing we need!!!
If raided, will the six year old be breaking the law or the couple getting married? Or does the liability fall on the wedding planner? Or perhaps the girl's parents? Please help!!
What is the legal maximum age for a flower girl in a wedding in the United States?
There is no legal age limit. She could be 106 years old and still be perfectly legal as a flower girl.
Reply:there isnt a legal age.
?
Reply:you are joking right?
I think maybe aliens will come down from mars and kidnap the girl and take her away where she will never see a flower again!!!
Reply:is this answer for real i think state police have more to worry about than busting your wedding. My flower girls was like 10 so OMG the police might come after me?????? give me a break whoever told you that is full of it and so are you for believing it
Reply:are you mentally ill or something?
Reply:There is no age limit...And i think the police have better things to do than visit the sisters wedding...
Reply:There is a law for this? Since when?
There is no maximum (or minumum) age restrictions or laws or anything like that.
Reply:Are you like for real?
People do not get arrested for being a certain age and a flower girl.
6 yrs old is just about perfect age.
This really has to be a joke, right, I can not believe that anyone would really think like you do and not be a joke.
Or, are you blonde????
Reply:hahahahhahahahahaha
You should be good....if the state police try to raid the party, just give him a piece of cake and a glass of champagne....bribing never hurts...
Reply:she's not to old. she could be 1 year old and still be a flower girl. please.. there is age limit or maximum for a flower girl. your friend is messing with your head!
Reply:There isn't one.
I've never heard of a wedding being raided... unless you are some sorta drug cartel....
You've officially gotten a star for the most interesting question.
Reply:She's SIX?!??!?! Might as well just wave a banner saying "ILLEGAL **** COMMENCING!!!".
If you have enough alcohol, you MAY have enough time to get her to Mexico and teach her to mule drugs. Obviously, the police only rarely shoot at those people
If you have no alcohol, she's gone for. They will either snipe her where she stands, or lynch her at a later date, depending on how good the food is at your wedding. Police (even State patrol) are easily tempted/sidetracked by food, especially desserts of the pastry persuasion. Keep these on hand.
That won't have her from the lynching, mind you, but it MAY help you to avoid the bloodspatter that NEVER comes out and will make returning her dress impossible.
Best of luck to you - OH! And ALWAYS blame the parents.
Reply:They'll burst in through the windows of the chapel and drag the 6 year old out in handcuffs. It's a horrible scene. She'll likely get tossed into juvie for it too.
Reply:Sound like you are the one worried about getting arrested at the wedding........paranoid???
Reply:Yeah it's fine. That really is a law?
Reply:This is good.
Reply:i sure hope you're not serious. there is no such thing as a legal age for a flower girl in the states. she can be 2 or 200.
Reply:I'm pretty sure they'll call in SWAT for something like this, and when they catch her, I'm sure she'll spend the rest of her childhood in jail. They'll probably haul you in for being an accessory, too.
Reply:hahahahaha youll be fine
Reply:Are you kidding? Of course there isn't an age limit for a flower girl in a wedding, and the police have far too much crap on their hands then breaking up a wedding with a 6 year old flower girl.

mexican tupils, most of all cos they survive in harsh environnment and then they have beautiful flowers and you can choose how you want them to grow, you can leave it grow like a tree or you can crop it, if you need a hedge the you make a hedge with lots of em, another option would be the bugambiglia. both come in many colors
Reply:Everbloom Hydrangeas are great and will bloom all summer, even the normal hydrangeas are gorgeous and probable my favorite. Lantana - butterflies love, I'm a northern transplant myself and find that roses any kind are so easy to grow in the south! My MIL has Knock out roses, more shrub like, can use a hedge trimmer on them, but they bloom their hearts out and provide great color! Iris for spring blooms, plant just below surface, no need to bring in over winter. Gladiolous, day lillies do great. Penta, Russian Sage, Mexican Petunias, Purple Cone flowers, dianthithus, Verbena, Vinca (reseeds itself), Marigolds (reseed), coreopsis, my neighbor lady has beautiful hollyhocks. I have'nt had great success with petunias or geraniums, maybe it's my soil?? Looking for great prices? I love to go to a big nursery's, even lowe's and other places reduced their prices by 50% on perennials by mid to late summer trying to move them out. Even if you plant them in the fall the root system gets a great start and will be bigger and better come spring since th ground doesn't freeze!
Reply:Daylilies are one of the best perennials in my opinion. They are virtually maintenance free, love the sun, and are continuously in bloom. You can plant them kind of sparsely, because they are very prolific, but they look great in mass plantings. Another perennial I like is white ginger. They are beautiful, smell awesome and again are maintenance free, other than cutting them back in the winter. They look terrible when they are dying off in the winter, but after cutting back, they come back without a hitch. If you hurry, you can plant seeds and have color in a few weeks. Things like Cosmos (they get very tall) or Zinnias are quick to bloom.
I live in Louisiana and look for things that are drought tolerant.
Reply:petunias, marigolds rose bushes. go to walmart and just look around and when you go check and see if the ones you think are pretty are wilted and if they are they arnt going to be able to stand the heat but some if you water them enough they will be ok. but just take a stroll around the garden section in walmart. or you can go to home depot and they can help you pick the right kind.
Reply:I love purple coneflowers and black eyed susans and they love the heat.
Reply:look for the flowers with (sow direct) on the packet and you cant go wrong

US states have state flowers, flags, and songs, but Paris is not a US state. Paris is a city in France.
The city of Paris does have a flag, a coat of arms, and a motto, however. Visit the link below for that info.

the Paris song (as well as all of France's) is La Marseilleise, the flag colors are blue, white and red, in order, (going as so: III) and I don't know if it even has a flower

Reply:Alabama, also known as the "Heart of Dixie," is a state located in the Southern United States. Alabama is bordered by Tennessee to the north, Georgia to the east, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Mississippi to the west. The twenty-second state admitted to the Union, Alabama seceded from the union in 1861 to become part of the Confederate States of America. Following the Civil War Alabama was readmitted to the union in 1868.
Until World War II, Alabama, like many Southern states, remained mired in poverty. In the years following the war, Alabama emerged as a growing economic power as the economy of the state transitioned from agriculture to diversified interests in heavy manufacturing, mineral extraction, education, and high technology. Today, the state is heavily invested in the aerospace, education, health care, banking, and various heavy industries including automobile manufacturing and mineral extraction and steel production and fabrication.
Alabama is officially nicknamed the Yellowhammer state. The capital is Montgomery and the largest city is Birmingham.
Alabama is the 30th largest state in the United States with 52,423 square miles (135,775 km²) of total area. 3.19% of that is water, making Alabama 23rd in the amount of surface water, also giving it the second largest inland waterway system in the United States.[2] Baldwin County, along the gulf coast, is the largest county in the state in both land area and water area. [3] About three-fifths of the land area is a gentle plain with a general decline towards the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico. The North Alabama region is mostly mountainous, with the Tennessee River cutting a large valley creating numerous creeks, streams, rivers, mountains, and lakes.[4] Another natural wonder is "Natural Bridge", the longest land bridge span east of the Mississippi River. Alabama generally ranges in elevation from sea level[1] at Mobile Bay, to a little more than 1,800 feet (550 m) in the Appalachian Mountains in the northeast. The highest point is Mount Cheaha.[4]
States bordering Alabama include Tennessee to the north; Georgia to the east; Florida to the south; and Mississippi to the west. Alabama has coastline at the Gulf of Mexico in the extreme southern edge of the state.[4]
National Parks in Alabama include Horseshoe Bend National Military Park in Daviston; Little River Canyon National Preserve in Fort Payne; Russell Cave National Monument in Bridgeport; Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site in Tuskegee; and Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site near Tuskegee.[5]
Alabama also contains the Natchez Trace Parkway, the Selma To Montgomery National Historic Trail, and the Trail Of Tears National Historic Trail.

Is it on your land? If so not unless it has a specific preservation order.
Reply:If you get caught and the person wanted to press charges, Yes!
In fact, and I am smiling, while running around joyfully in the rain, in town, I started picking flowers from the city flower landscape design and a policeman threaten to take me to jail. I didn't know it was illegal.
Of course, this happened over 20 years ago. Thanks for the memory!

Reply:I said it before in the law and ethics section, and I'll say it again: there is no law specifically against digging up the American Holly (state tree) or Peach Blossom (state flower) in Delaware, so I can't give you proof. It's not like there is a law on the books saying "It is legal to dig up the state flower and state tree."
BUT, you said in the other section that it was for a senior prank.
If you do not own the flower/tree, then someone else does. Digging it up might be destruction of property. Getting to the flower/tree means you probably have to trespass. Even if it is on school grounds, you could be trespassing. If you take the flower/tree, it could be theft. Basically, DON'T DO IT.
thanx!

What is the state bird and flower for california?
Bird----California Quail ~ Lophortyx californicus
Common in the chaparral slopes and valleys of the Pacific coastal mountains, the wily Quail scouts insure the safety of the brood by screeching at the approach of a hunter. Refusing to flush, the birds scuttle away or hide in trees until the hunter leaves. Besides being an excellent game bird, the California Quail brings its color and personality to gardens and city parks.
Flower---California Poppy ~ Eschscholtzia californica
Before civilization dotted the West with villages, homesteads, and orchards, California Poppies formed a blanket of gold which stretched from the foothills to the sea; and it is said that Spanish sailors, seeding the land glowing so brilliantly, named it the Land of Fire. When they later discovered that the brightness was the sunglow on red-gold-poppies, they called the flowers "cups of gold." California Poppies now scatter their gold generously in flower gardens the world over, but nowhere are they quite so lovely as in their native home.

The California Quail, Callipepla californica, also known as the California Valley Quail or Valley Quail, is a small ground-dwelling bird in the New World quail family. It is the state bird of California.
Flower: California Poppy
The California poppy (Eschscholzia californica) is native to grassy and open areas from sea level to 2,000m (6,500 feet) altitude in the western United States throughout California, extending to Oregon, southern Washington, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and in Mexico in Sonora and northwest Baja California.
The California poppy is the California state flower. It was selected as the state flower by the California State Floral Society in December 1890, winning out over the Mariposa lily (genus Calochortus) and the Matilija poppy (Romneya coulteri) by a landslide, but the state legislature did not make the selection official until 1903. Its golden blooms were deemed a fitting symbol for the Golden State. April 6 of each year is designated "California Poppy Day."

What is Arizona's state flower??
Saguaro Flower
Arizona's State Flower
In 1901 the saguaro’s blossom was adopted as the official territorial flower, and later, in 1931, it was confirmed as the state flower. The saguaro cactus typically blooms in May and June. It is one of the most unique state flowers, and is characterized by having a waxy feel, but fragrant aroma.
There may be hundreds of flowers on a saguaro cactus that bloom just several at a time over a period of more than a month. The saguaro flowers have a short life; they open at night and close permanently during the next day. Many of the blossoms will become pollinated and, later in the summer, the flowers become red-fleshed fruits that are enjoyed by the local bird population.

Whats Canadas state Flower?
Canada does not have a national Flower. Maple leaf is not to be considered as Canadas flower or tree. It is the common National emblem and used in flags, curranceis etc. -
National symbols of Canada are the symbols that are used in Canada and abroad to represent the country and its people. Prominently, the use of the maple leaf as a Canadian symbol dates back to the early 18th century, and is depicted on its current and previous flags, the penny, and on the coat of arms (or royal arms).
The Crown symbolizes the Canadian monarchy, and appears on the coat of arms (used by parliamentarians and government ministries), the flag of the Governor General, the coats of arms of many provinces and territories; the badges of the Canadian Forces, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), many regiments, and other police forces; on buildings, as well as some highway signs and licence plates. Also, the Queen's image appears in Canadian government buildings, military installations and schools; and on Canadian stamps, $20 bank notes, and all coins.
Canada is known for its vast forests and mountain ranges and the animals that reside within them, such as moose, beaver, caribou, polar bears, grizzly bears, Canada goose, and the common loon. The beaver's emblematic status originated from the fact much of Canada's early economic history was tied to the fur trade in beaver fur, used to make hats fashionable in Europe. Other products made from the country's natural resources, such as maple syrup, are also associated with Canadian identity.
Additional national symbols include the RCMP and anything pertaining to ice hockey, Canada's official winter sport, which is often used as a national symbol of unity and pride.
In recent years, other symbols have become a source of pride: notably, the I am Canadian campaign by Molson beer, most notably the commercial featuring Joe Canada, infused home-grown beer with nationalism. (Molson later merged with an American beer company, Coors.) The Canadian fashion retailer Roots sells a variety of merchandise designed to evoke nationalistic sentiment.

In 1892, before they had the right to vote, Washington women selected the coast rhododendron as the state flower. They wanted an official flower to enter in a floral exhibit at the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago. Six flowers were considered, but the final decision was narrowed to clover and the "rhodie," and voting booths were set up for ladies throughout the state. When the ballots were counted, the rhododendron had been chosen as the Washington state flower.
And this is what it looks like...

What is Michigan's State Flower?
Apple Blossom
Reply:In 1897 Michigan legislators, feeling that "a refined sentiment" called for the naming of a state flower, designated the apple blossom. Joint Resolution 10 of that year noted "one of the most fragrant and beautiful flowered species of apple, the pyrus coronaria, is native to our state." Legislators also proudly declared that "Michigan apples have gained a worldwide reputation." A century later, Michigan ranks second in the nation in apple production.

Why is the dogwood virginias state tree and flower?
Dogwood is the most popular native flowering tree and is the state tree of Virginia. It is often used as a specimen, in masses, or naturalized under large trees. Interesting in all seasons because of its showy spring flowers, red berries, consistent fall color, and branching habit.
