A friend of mine has just lost her mother. She lives out of state and I wanted to have some flowers delivered to her. I've read somewhere that Lilies were a good "sympathy flower," does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank you!
What kind of flowers should I get?
Lilies and roses are common funeral flowers. Don't necessarily limit yourself to those though,other cheery flowers may also be nice for your friend. Roses, though they are my personal favorite, are a bit pricey, so lillies are probably a good bet.

Reply:Lillies are good and common. So are carnations. I would just go to a site like 1800flowers.com and find something nice in the price range I was looking for. Plants or food baskets are good, too.
