Where in the state of Washington could I find....?

I want to relocate to Washington state. I'm struggling with what area to move to within the state. I'm looking for a city, area, town, or suburb that is very picturesque, with lovely flowers, landscaped streets and yards, green lawns, water and watefountains (that one is a biggie for me), attractive storefronts/malls, etc. For some reason, I need to be surounded by beauty and tranquility. What is the prettiest place to live in Washington? Thanks for your comments. You will really be helping out someone who needs to relocate but can't decide where.

Well, anywhere around the sound is perfect for that kind of a setting. If you have the money to afford it I would recommend the Kirkland area, it is a nice suburb of Seattle with beautiful buildings and nature that surrounds you. The City of Kirkland has done a really good job with it's architecture and landscaping. Or if you want something more remote, I recommend the Olympic Peninsula. There are many cities there that are a hop, skip and a jump away from the ferries (i.e. Seattle and Edmonds) so you can do your city shopping and catch a show, while at the same time you have the beautiful Pacific NW in your backyard. My third recommendation is for the North Bend area, if you want a smaller community setting and a great view of the Cascades. You'd be close to those waterfalls and about a half hour to Seattle. If you like snow, that would be a great place to live.

I personally think every place in Washington is beautiful. Anywhere you pick, you will love. I love my state!

Also - it's Whidbey Island. Not Whitby. I can't believe someone could live somewhere and not even know how to spell it!
Reply:WE LIVED ON WHITBY ISLAND IN WASHINGTON STATE.

RIGHT BY DESOLATION BRIDGE. BEAUTIFUL SCENERY QUIET PEACEFUL . VERY NICE NEIGHBORS. GO SEE IT BEFORE YOU DECIDE.

Reply:All the things you want are not in the same town.

And a water fountain would be hard to find...

Best come and check it out for your self.
Reply:I don't know if tranquility %26amp; Malls mix but I would suggest Bellevue, Mercer Island, Gig Harbor, Lake Tapps, or Tacoma's North End. I lived in Washington a number of years.
Reply:Maybe Bellevue? Got some areas by the waterfront and the streets are well paved and landscaped.
Reply:I recently took a drive through outskirts of Vancouver Wa, and there are new malls and beutiufully landscaped houses everywhere. Plus, it's location near Portland Oregon offers access to many upscale retail outlets and employment opportunities that Oregon has to offer.

There's no sales tax in Oregon, so if you shop here and live just across the river in Vancouver Wa, you save about 6% on everything you buy.
